Max Announces Arrival Of 3 Legendary Marvel Films
Three iconic Marvel movies from the era before the MCU’s dominance are now available on Max.
Given that Marvel Studios is now under Disney’s ownership, the movies and TV shows from the MCU are conveniently accessible on Disney+.
Moreover, Disney+ has been progressively including older classic Marvel films to its lineup in recent times.
However, due to the historical involvement of other studios in producing and distributing certain Marvel films.
The terms of licensing and contracts occasionally result in these movies finding their streaming home on platforms like Hulu, Max, and others.

Classic Marvel Films Are Set To Arrive On Max
As Marvel Studios operates under the Disney umbrella, the entire collection of MCU movies and TV shows conveniently finds its way to Disney+.
Over the past few years, Disney+ has expanded its content library by incorporating vintage Marvel movies into its offerings. Nevertheless, owing to the prior involvement of different studios in creating and distributing certain Marvel films,
Contractual agreements and licensing terms occasionally lead these movies to be hosted on other platforms such as Hulu, Max, and similar services.
Wesley Snipes’ original Blade trilogy is all set to be streamed on Warner Bros.’
Starting from Friday, September 1, the Max streaming service will be available for access.
Marvel content has been on other streaming platforms before, like Marvel Studios’ The Incredible Hulk appearing briefly on HBO Max in 2022.Even some Disney-owned movies like Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water have found their way to Warner Bros.’ streaming service.
This happened due to a licensing deal that allowed them to share streaming rights.
In the 1998 movie “Blade,” Wesley Snipes takes on the role of Eric Brooks, a vampire hunter driven by a personal quest to avenge his mother’s tragic death at the hands of vampires.
With his exceptional combat abilities and determination, Brooks wages a relentless war to rid the world of these supernatural threats, emerging as a beacon of hope against the darkness they represent.
The film combines action, horror, and a tale of retribution, making it a captivating showcase of Snipes’ performance and Brooks’ journey for justice.
He teams up with Kris Kristofferson (Abraham Whistler) to take on Stephen Dorff’s Deacon Frost, who leads a group of modern-day vampires trying to use Blade’s blood to summon an evil god.
Blade II, released in 2002, has snipes joining forces with vampires to fight a more dangerous enemy.
He teams up with Kristofferson again, and new characters played by Donnie Yen, Norman Reedus, and Ron Perlman.
Snipes returns in 2004’s Blade: Trinity, where Blade is framed for murders as the human/vampire war continues.
Jessica Biel and Ryan Reynolds also join the cast to help Blade. This is the first time Blade is available for streaming since it was taken off Hulu on December 31, 2022.
It had initially arrived on Hulu in October 2022 before being removed.

Possibility That The Blade Trilogy Will Make Its way To Disney+?
Looking ahead at what might happen with the Blade trilogy’s availability for streaming, many people will wonder if Wesley Snipes’ original trilogy will eventually become part of the collection of older Marvel movies from before the MCU.
The fact that the trilogy is rated R wouldn’t pose a problem for Disney+.
They’ve recently made other R-rated movies like Logan and the first two Deadpool films available on the platform for fans to watch.
However, since the trilogy was distributed by New Line Cinema, the studio that was also involved in co-producing Zachary Levi’s Shazam! films, the big question is how the rights to stream these movies are divided between different studios.
Considering that these types of agreements usually last around two years, it’s likely that the Blade trilogy might not become available on Disney+ until sometime in 2025 or even later. Although, it’s important to note that the situation can change as time goes on.
